We were able to assist by providing our 60R and 76R screwpiles, alongside an Autoguide Torquehead, to help meet their testing needs.
The Project Scope - Screwpile Testing
ProFix needed to conduct thorough testing to assess the performance and suitability of screwpiles for their specific project site. The varied soil conditions demanded piles with different diameters and torque capacities, leading to the selection of both our 60R and 76R screwpiles.
60R Screwpiles: Known for their versatility and compact size, these piles offer a balance of strength and adaptability. With a diameter of 60mm and a torque limit of 4 kNm, they are ideal for projects requiring high precision in limited spaces.
76R Screwpiles: These piles, with a larger 76mm diameter and a torque limit of 9.5 kNm, are designed for more demanding applications, providing enhanced load-bearing capacity for more substantial projects.
Utilising the Autoguide Torquehead
In addition to the screwpiles, the testing process required the use of a dependable torque head to ensure accurate installation. ProFix chose the Autoguide Torquehead—a high-performance attachment that allowed precise measurement and control of torque during the installation process. This equipment is widely respected for its reliability and efficiency, making it an ideal choice for screwpile installations.
The combination of our screwpiles and the Autoguide Torquehead ensured that ProFix could carry out their testing with confidence, knowing they were using the best equipment available.
Results and Collaboration Success
The testing phase, carried out under real-site conditions, allowed ProFix to gather critical data on the screwpile performance. The 60R and 76R piles met all expectations, delivering excellent results in terms of load capacity and stability. Thanks to the precise torque readings provided by the Autoguide Torquehead, ProFix was able to ensure that the screwpiles were installed correctly, enabling decision making on the project.
